Awarded outstanding by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in May 2015, St Andrew's Prep Nursery is situated in idyllic surroundings within the grounds of St Andrew's Prep in Meads, Eastbourne and is five minutes from the Eastbourne town centre, East Dean, Willingdon and Polegate and just a little further from Pevensey, Bexhill-on Sea and Hailsham.

The Baby Room, for children from 9 months to 2 years, is a self-contained area with a separate sleep room. All babies receive individual attention and follow their own routines. At two years of age, the children progress to the Robin and Racing Robin classes and then at three years of age, in the child's pre-school year, they move on to Chaffinch and Kingfisher. Each age group has its own separate area for activities including painting, role play, dressing up and story time and children are encouraged to play together and learn from each other. The Nursery timetable includes specialist sessions such as dance, music and gym with fully qualified teachers.

Outside, we have large, secure gardens with water and sand play areas, playground toys and lots of space to run around and be active.

Our Head of Nursery and Pre-Prep is Heather Stokes. She is a qualified teacher and very experienced in Early Years education. With a Masters in Education Leadership and Management she inspires our staff to make a positive difference to the children's well-being, learning and development.

Heather is supported by Carly Reigler, who is also an Early Years specialist. Carly is a former Early Years Ofsted inspector with lots of experience working with children in this age group. She manages the running of the Nursery on a day to day basis.

The St Andrew's Prep Nursery facilities include a swimming pool, with fully qualified swimming teacher, music and dance room and a unique and innovative Forest School. It's fabulous position, nestled between the South Downs and the beach, allows all the children, including the babies, to experience open spaces and fresh sea air.

Healthy breakfasts, mid-morning snacks, lunch, afternoon snacks and suppers are all made on site from fresh, local produce and are provided for the children in our dining room.

We are open from 8am until 6pm, 50 weeks of the year and there are dedicated parking bays for drop off and collection of children.

We are registered with Ofsted and Early Years Education entitlement is available from the term after your child's 3rd birthday. .
